Grand Rapids, MI – June 26 – 30, 2009

Avery Post served a Westchester congregation before becoming President of the UCC. The Westchester minister on the right biked his way to Synod!
As apparent here, clothing at Synod varied – widely.

Caucus for NY delegates began at 6 AM – aided by the coffee pots shown behind the delegates. Sunday morning caucus prepared us for Sunday evening committee meetings.

A representative of the Council for American Indian Ministry helped us understand concerns of ethnic minorities regarding a single governing board for our national setting. We listened intently when insights were shared regarding Synod resolutions. Metro buddies shared a hug.

Geoffrey Black attended New York’s celebration at the close of Synod. Our NY UC News editor, right, will share information in new ways, having published the last print edition in June 2009. “’Til we meet again,” as New Yorkers give parting greetings at our closing celebration.
