Our People

There would be no churches, no associations, no conferences, no United Church of Christ without the people.

We gathered on a bright Saturday, April 21, 2012, for the 135th Annual Meeting of the Metropolitan Association.

Rev. Peter Dennebaum greeted us at the United Church of Rockville Centre We got to meet, in person, the helpful people from the Parish Resource Center. Pre-registration and efficient greeters allowed our sign-in to proceed quickly.

Smiles abounded as friends greeted one another. A bounteous table welcomed us to lunch. Elmer Hammond again led our worship music.

Empty plates were one sign "the lunch was yummy". Clearly, the choir enjoyed its work. Joy also filled the hearts of worshippers as they sang.
